The family of a Bucks County man killed in the Virgin Islands is still searching for clues in a brutal murder case.
21-year-old Jamie Cockayne had a passion for sailing and that's what lured him to the tropical waters off St. John.
"It's basically paradise", said brother, Jeff Cockayne.
The life of paradise Cockayne sought was cut short by a brutal murder.
"Jamie was stabbed multiple times, stabbed seven times what we've learned, it looks as though he was attacked twice, he was attacked, he got away and they attacked him again ", Jeff Cockyane said.
Cockyane's family is blaming the Virgin Islands Police force for the lack of arrests and leads in the case.
They believe the police force made serious mistakes during important points of the investigation, such as turning over potentially key evidence to Cockyane's mother, Jeanie, before DNA testing.
"I took his flip flops out and they were just soaking in blood, as a mother I just threw them out, I couldn't keep them", Jeanie Cockyane said.
Cockyane's family believes the Virgin Island Police force has been incompetent and uncooperative in the investigation thus far.
"They're not being honest with us we've had absolutely not faith or confidence in them, it's scary", Jeanie Cockyane said.
There have been no arrests in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
