Billy Joel Honors Beloved Philly Venue

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―

A Philadelphia favorite was in town Saturday night to honor of the city's most beloved venues.

Bill Joel joined the Philadelphia Orchestra on stage to perform at the Academy of Music. The Grammy winner's performance honored the Academy's 151st anniversary.

Billy Joel played at the Academy of music 30 years ago before he was an international superstar, selling out every show he played.

Joel talked about his many fond memories performing for Philadelphia fans at the soon to be demolished Spectrum.

Joel wowed the crowed with songs from his large catalogue spanning over 30-years to honor the famous venue.
