Bucks Co. Teen Injured By Exploding Keg

SELLERSVILLE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A popular stunt often seen on the internet sent a Pennsylvania teen to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened Monday afternoon in a wooded area in Sellersville, Bucks County.

According to police, a 16-year-old suffered severe facial injuries after a keg was tossed into a fire pit. The fire caused the keg to explode and fly in various directions.

The teen was struck by shrapnel from the keg explosion and was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital. His family told CBS 3 he is expected to eventually recover.

Because the incident involved minors, investigators are withholding details about the incident; however, the investigation is ongoing.
