PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
There's been conflicting information about the cholesterol lowering drug Vytorin, whether or not it causes cancer. That's prompted an investigation from the FDA.
There had been earlier questions about its effectiveness and now comes the safety question.

Fighting breast cancer with positive thinking.
A new study of 255 women found those who were happy and positive had fewer cases of breast cancer. While women who experienced difficulties that caused depression and anxiety were at a greater risk.

Some new insight on why certain people snore. Research says a lot depends on what you're exposed to as a child.
For example, kids who have pets tend to snore as adults. There's also a connection with recurrent ear infections and growing up in a large family.
Researchers say those factors can trigger an inflammatory reaction, which later in life increases the risk for snoring. Experts say almost half of adults snore at least occasionally, and it can be a symptom of a serious condition called sleep apnea, when you stop breathing in your sleep. It can be deadly.
If you're concerned, check with your doctor to get a sleep test.
