Health: Eye Cream Made With Wine

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― The lengths women go to for their eyes. They use everything from cucumbers to frozen peas, anything to get rid of that annoying puffiness and those little wrinkles. Even Preparation H has been put to the task. Now a super expensive French wine comes to the rescue.

"I love using the eye cream," said Ellen Regenbogen, who uses Dior's new

Dior says the unique combination of antioxidants from the vine of the Yquem grape helps eliminate puffiness, wrinkles and dark circles and reverses skin damage and aging by stimulating cell and collagen growth.

"This product is quite different because it has the most potent combination of antioxidants available in over the counter preparations," said Dr. Neil Sadick, a consultant for Dior. He says research sponsored by the company shows skin tone improvements in eight weeks.

"It is all scientific based, evidence based research. Having something peer reviewed and appearing in a major dermatology journal is a major step in the skin care industry," said Dr. Sadick. But that's not absolute proof it works and it might be an expensive gamble costing 175 dollars a jar.

"I'm really curious and interested to see what it's all about, " said Pam Targan, who wants to try the new eye cream. She hopes to help slow down the signs of time.

"You don't like to see the wrinkles. I don't like to see the dark circles under my eyes," said Pam.

Dior's new eye cream is available at Saks and a few other department stores. They also have other products and creams made with the same grape vine.
