PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
To launch the eighth season of his namesake show, Dr. Phil McGraw will broadcast live for the first time ever from Philadelphia. The new season will begin on Monday, September 14, when DR. PHIL will premiere live from New York City. On
September 16, DR. PHIL will broadcast live from Philadelphia's
Independence National Historic Park.
In addition, watch for Dr. Phil to tour and showcase some of the area's most popular spots. Philadelphians could very well walk into their favorite Philly cheese steak place or be commuting on Amtrak and find Dr. Phil sitting right next to them (see attached list of specific Philadelphia locations). "This season, I am dedicated to giving viewers the tools they need to move in the right direction in their lives," says Dr. Phil. "That's been my mission since we started this show and I'm even more committed to that as we head into our eighth year. I'm out there on the streets because I want to hear about what's important to my audience, and if it matters to them, we'll deal with it on the show, and offer real-life solutions to real-life problems."
"We're excited to host Dr. Phil in our hometown, "says CBS 3 and CW Philly President and General Manager Jon Hitchcock. "It's a great opportunity to show a national audience what an exciting and diverse place Philadelphia is to live."
