CBS 3 Celebrates The Season With Local Special
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
CBS 3 Meteorologists Kathy Orr and Doug Kammerer will come in from the cold to host an hour of seasonal warmth on CBS 3 this Thursday, December 11, 7-8 p.m. Celebrate The Season will take viewers on a tour of local holiday attractions and take a look at what makes the season special in the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys. The program will be repeated that same night at 10 p.m. on The CW Philly 57, as well as on Saturday, December 13th at noon on CBS 3, Sunday, December 14th at 4 p.m. on The CW and Christmas Day, December 25th at 9 a.m. on Channel 3.
Members of the Eyewitness News and CW Philly 57 family will join Orr and Kammerer on the tour of some traditional and not-so-traditional forms of holiday cheer that can be found locally.
Included are: Liz Keptner's tour of the National Christmas Center in Lancaster County; Susan Barnett's visit to the Macy's holiday light show; Lesley Van Arsdall's tour of Peddlers' Village, and Kathy Orr's outing to Storybook Land. Ukee Washington takes a stop at St. Madeline-St. Rose School in Ridley Park to talk to little ones about Santa and the meaning of Christmas and Sean Murphy finds reindeer at the Elmwood Park Zoo.
Also, Chris May looks at the spirit of holiday giving in these tough economic times while Natasha Brown examines the tradition of holiday cards in an email and texting world.
