Philadelphia, October 9, 2008 – CBS 3 Anchor Pat Ciarrocchi and Meteorologist Kathy Orr will host "Ribbon of Hope," a half-hour Breast Cancer Awareness Month special, debuting on CBS 3 Wednesday, October 15 at 7 p.m. The program will also air on The CW Philly 57 that same day at 10 p.m.

The program, part of CBS 3's year-round commitment to breast cancer education, will focus on developments with mammograms, look at advanced medical procedures and diagnostic services, and feature survivors sharing their personal stories about the importance early detection.

"Ribbon of Hope" will also highlight fundraising initiatives in the Delaware Valley that benefit cancer research such as the Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure and the upcoming Breast Cancer 3-Day. It will also look at awareness campaigns such as "Lights for the Cure," the local campaign in which CBS 3 and the Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure raise awareness by lighting more than 100 buildings and landmarks in the area pink this month as a reminder for women to schedule a mammogram.

"Ribbon of Hope" is sponsored by Eagles Tackling Breast Cancer, Wawa and Christiana Care Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.
