Police arrested six suspects in connection to the sexual assault of a woman in West Philadelphia Thursday evening.
Investigators said the initial attack happened at about 11:00 p.m. inside the Li Lai Chinese restaurant located in the 5600 block of Walnut Street.
"While inside the store, she was encountered by six males, they were unknown to her," Lt. Frank Vanore explained.
The 24-year-old woman told investigators the six males assaulted her inside and outside of the restaurant before dragging her across the street and forcing her into an apartment.
"She reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by all six males," Lt. Vanore said.
"Witnesses did call police, police were summoned to the location, the males attempted to flee, but were apprehended."
Vanore said the suspects range in age from 16 to 52. Arrested are Michael Garrison, 52; Teddy Mack, 22; Timothy Manley, 22; Nyar Washington, 19; Nicholas Glenn, 18; and a 16-year-old juvenile.
In addition to the rape, investigators said the suspects stole cash, a coat and pocketbook from the victim.
Investigators said all six suspects have been charged with rape, sexual assault and other related offenses.
