Coyote Walks Into Northampton Sears
NAZARETH, Pa. (AP) ―
State conservation
officers say they don't know what will be done with a coyote that tried to
enter a Sears store in broad daylight in eastern Pennsylvania.
Wildlife Conservation Officer Bradley Kreider
says whatever eventually happens, the animal first will be checked by a veterinarian
and authorities will try to find out if anyone came in contact with it before
it was captured.
The coyote was caught Monday afternoon at a
Sears Appliance and Hardware Store at Northampton
Crossings. The mall is in an area of open spaces and farmland near Nazareth, about 50 miles north of Philadelphia.
The coyote was trapped between two sets of exit
doors and subdued with a tranquilizer gun. No injuries are reported.
