The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has revoked the license of a large central Pennsylvania dog kennel for violating a consumer fraud agreement.
Special Deputy Agriculture Secretary Jessie Smith says the license of CC Pets LLC has been revoked. She says the state pulled the license because of a suspension related to the 2005 settlement.
The license for the kennel, formerly known as Puppy Love, was suspended six months in April for violating a settlement that required owner Joyce Stoltzfus to identify the company in classified ads. Agriculture officials say the kennel sold about 1,800 puppies last year.
A phone message left at CC Pets was not immediately returned Wednesday afternoon.
The department of agriculture says CC Pets has been cited previously for inhumane and unsanitary conditions.
