Fugitive Alligator Trapped In Trenton Pond
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
An alligator on the prowl in a Trenton pond is now in custody.
A trap set by the Department of Environmental Protection resulted in the capture of a four-foot long gator at Stacy Park Wednesday morning.
Officials have been searching for the sharp-toothed reptile since it was spotted nearly two weeks ago.
A previous trapping effort led to the apprehension of a large turtle.
Zoos in the tri-state area are being scouted to see if they have space for the alligator.
