U.S.-Born Runner Wins Philadelphia Marathon

John Crews on Sunday became the first U.S.-born male runner since 2000 to win the Philadelphia Marathon when he finished first by more than six minutes. The 25-year-old Crews completed the 26.2-mile course in two hours, 17 minutes, 15 seconds.

NRC: Three Mile Island Radiation Not Significant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is sending investigators to the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant after a small amount of radiation was detected there. About 150 employees were sent home Saturday afternoon after the radiation was detected at the central Pennsylvania plant.

An overnight apartment fire displaced dozens of residents and injured at least 19 people. According to officials, the fire broke out at 4:32 Sunday morning. It appears to have started in a second floor unit at the Austin Manor apartments off of Rising Sun and Tyson avenues in the city's Lawncrest section.
