Delaware H1N1 Vaccine Partially Delayed

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) ― The swine flu vaccine has arrived in Delaware, but officials say some of that shipment was delayed.

The delay means it will be another day or more before FluMist doses are given to all the state's health care workers.

Officials say 4,900 doses arrived Tuesday and about 4,000 more are expected this week. Nearly 17,000 doses are expected to arrive next week.

Christiana Care's Stanton facility, the Nemours Foundation and Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Seaford's Nanticoke Memorial Hospital have received the doses.

Beebe Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital are still waiting for their doses to arrive so health care workers there can be vaccinated.
