Delaware May Get Its First National Park
DOVER, Del. (AP) ―
Delaware's congressional delegation is planning to introduce a proposal for the state's first national park.
Sen. Tom Carper says the bipartisan plan to be introduced Tuesday would require a few million dollars from the federal government so the park could open in 2011.
Carper and Sen. Ted Kaufman are co-sponsoring the Senate bill and Rep. Mike Castle is sponsoring the bill in the House.
