Routine Traffic Stop Leads To Del. Cocaine Bust
WILMINGTON (CBS 3) ―
Three men were arrested by New Castle County officers after a routine traffic stop revealed the men were trafficking cocaine.
On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., County Mobile Enforcement Team officers were investigating an unrelated issue in the Holloway Terrace area when they noticed a passenger in a white sedan without a seat belt.
After stopping the vehicle, MET officers discovered the car's occupants, Quinton Turner, 24, Lamar Tann, 30, and Clyde Holmes, 28, were in possession of large amounts of money and cocaine.
In all, the officers confiscated $695, 12 grams of cocaine from the driver's seat and 56 grams on Holmes in addition to miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
All three men were charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy. They have been committed to Howard Young Correctional Facility in lieu of posting bail.
