Former Marines Arrested In Del. Burglaries

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. (CBS 3) ― Two former Marines are facing several charges in connection to a burglary spree in New Castle County, Delaware.

New Castle County investigators say Daniel Eberly, 24, and Andrea Johnson, 25, are linked to four break-ins in and around Wilmington during the month of September.

Investigators said the pair was taken into custody Wednesday during a robbery in the community of Ashbourne Hills.

During a search of the pair's vehicle, police found numerous stolen items. Police also found an 8 foot tall marijuana plant and 48 grams of marijuana during a search of their Wilmington residence.

Eberly and Johnson are facing numerous charges including burglary, theft and possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling.

A witness told police that Eberly and Johnson were former Marines who had recently moved to Delaware from California.

Eberly is being held at the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $13,500 secured bond.

Johnson is being held at the Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $13,500 secured bond.
