CBS 3 Salutes America With NCC Special

"We The People" Airs July 4 Weekend On CBS 3 And The CW Philly 57

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Celebrate America this July 4th weekend as CBS 3 and The CW Philly take you inside Philadelphia's National Constitution Center with its half-hour special "We The People," an entertaining and educational tribute to our nation. This world-renowned museum makes history fun for adults and children alike, featuring over 75,000 square feet of space for interactive exhibits.

"We The People" airs July 4th at 10:30 p.m. on The CW Philly 57, July 5th at 7:30 p.m. on CBS 3, and on July 6th at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on CBS 3. The special is hosted by CBS 3 Anchors Susan Barnett and Chris May. It kicks off with ordinary Americans reciting The Preamble to the Constitution, followed by an overview of the NCC, which is much more than "just a museum." NCC President and CEO Joseph Torsella gives viewers a tour of Signer's Hall, a room where all the signers of the Constitution are arranged exactly as they were the day their signatures were immortalized on the document on September 17, 1787. Sean Murphy, traffic anchor for The CW Philly's WakeUp News, finds out how much people really know about the U.S. Constitution in a humorous segment involving a "Constitution Quiz." The CW Philly Anchor Natasha Brown takes viewers to "Freedom Rising," an emotional multi-media experience that tells the story of "We The People." The special also features an interview with Governor Ed Rendell.

CBS 3 (KYW-TV) and The CW Philly 57 (WPSG-TV) are part of CBS Television Stations, a division of CBS Corporation.
