A Utah man has pleaded not guilty to a federal charge related to the ricin poison case in Las Vegas.
Thomas Tholen of Riverton, Utah, appeared Tuesday in federal court in Salt Lake City.
He is a cousin of the man charged in Las Vegas with possessing a biological toxin. That man -- Roger Bergendorff -- was hospitalized for two months with what authorities suspect was ricin poisoning.
The federal charges in Utah allege that Tholen knew his cousin was producing the dangerous biological agent and failed to report it.
