Woman Stabbed To Death In Upper Gwynedd Apartment

UPPER GWYNEDD, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Police are searching for a suspect and answers in the stabbing death of a woman in a quiet Montgomery County neighborhood.

The fatal stabbing happened late Sunday night inside an apartment on Marlbrook Lane in Upper Gwynedd.

Crime Scene Investigators removed pieces of possible evidence, including doors, from the apartment where 39-year-old Young Hee Ferlazzo was found murdered late Sunday night.

Investigators say the victim's husband found her body stabbed multiple times in the torso when he returned to their apartment after leaving to work several hours at his business.

Detectives asked township workers with rakes and shovels to help in their search for the missing murder weapon and for possible bloody clothing.

Police say that while the violence was deeply disturbing to neighbors, the victim was apparently the intended target, it was not a random act and there is no danger to others.

While the motive remains a mystery, police hope that in addition to the evidence they recovered, someone may have actually seen the killer around the apartment Sunday night and may be able to provide details that could help crack the case.

"If anyone should come across something, of course give us a call, but we're still actively seeking information," Chief David Duffy explained.

The deadly stabbing remains under police investigation.
