Wilmington Liquor Store Clerk Kills Alleged Robber
PHILADELPHIA (AP) ―
Police say a clerk at a Wilmington liquor store shot and killed a robber, but his two accomplices are at large.
Police say three masked men told the 55-year-old clerk at Favors Liquor Store that he was being robbed at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. When two of them pulled guns and ordered the clerk to the back of the store, he exchanged fire with them.
At least one of the men was hit. He staggered outside and collapsed on the sidewalk and was pronounced dead later at Christiana Hospital.
