Two criminals have shown their age in Upper Darby.
Police have labeled two teens as 'brazen bandits' after they decided to videotape themselves burglarizing several Delaware County homes in broad daylight.
The teen bandits, 15 and 16, terrorized a neighborhood on November 13, burglarizing five homes. They also reportedly burglarized a home on the 12th as well.
The teens videotaped themselves opening wrapped Christmas presents at one home, and one teen can even be heard saying, "Christmas has come early for us."
The burglary spree ended when one of the teens broke into a home and sounded an alarm. A neighbor spotted the teens running away from the home and called police.
Police then found the two teens a short time later walking down the street with backpacks full of stolen goods, mostly electronics, totaling about $1,000.
"Burglary is like rape. You go out and you work everyday, and then somebody comes in and steals what you work for. These guys are interesting because they put themselves on videotape," said Upper Darby Superintendent Michael Chitwood.
The teens have been charged with committing five different burglaries, but they are suspected of committing seven more.
They are now at the juvenile detention center in Lima, Delaware County.
