Pa. Social Services Go Online

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ―

A new Web-based online directory of social service providers is now available in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Launched by a number of agencies this week, it is designed to make it easier for people to find the help they need.

Rashida Jabbar and her husband work with young people in Southwest Philadelphia.

Jabbar says, "When you're in an emergency and you're dealing with the young people on the street, it's kind of hard to get access or get someone at hand right away."

The new Web site—www.Connect211.org—is designed to ease access to health, family, education, employment, food, and shelter services in southeastern Pennsylvania.
