Power Outages Close 2 Philly Schools

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Two Philadelphia schools were without power Friday prompting an unexpected day off for students.

William Penn High School on N. Broad Street and St. Malachy Elementary School on N. 11Street were closed Friday due to a power outage.

Authorities said classes are expected to resume Monday.

The cause of the outages was not immediately known.
