St. Patrick's Day Parade Marches On
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
Philadelphia's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade marched on despite
the gloomy weather.
The streets may have been wet and the skies may have
been cloudy, but nothing could dampen the spirits of nearly 20,000 who
took part in Sunday's
parade.
The 240th St. Patrick's Day Parade kicked off at 22nd Street and the JFK Boulevard at noon. The cavalcade of floats wound around City Hall and down the Ben Franklin Parkway before coming to an end at the Art Museum.
Due to the festivities, SEPTA is detouring bus routes in Center City until 5:30 p.m. Visit
www.septa.org for route changes.
You can watch an encore presentation of the parade on CBS 3 on March 17 from 9 a.m. until noon and again on the CW Philly from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
