Patients Bust A Groove At CHOP Prom

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A one-of-a-kind prom was held for a special group of kids in Philadelphia Thursday night.

Patients were given donated clothes and free makeovers for the second annual prom at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

After taking a stroll down the red carpet, everyone partied down until bedtime. The event gave many the chance to feel like a star, even if it was for just one night.

A team of workers organized decorations for the event and Oldies 98 supplied the tunes.

The prom gained national attention, bringing in Flavia Colgan, the latest reporter for the CBS Early Show.

The event was sponsored in part by the Joshua Kahan Fund, started in honor of a young boy who died from Leukemia 10 years ago.
