Pickup Crashes Into Delaware Body Shop
NEWARK (CBS 3) ―
A driver was injured after his pickup truck crashed into a Delaware auto body shop Monday morning.
Delaware State Police said a domino effect was set off after a collision at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Route 40 in Newark just before 9 a.m.
A 2009 Chevrolet Silverado was struck after apparently running a red light. The collision sent the pickup into a nearby parking lot where it struck several parked vehicles before crashing into Glasgow Auto Body.
The driver of the Silverado, 63-year-old Joseph Barden, was treated at Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No additional injuries were reported. The body shop apparently suffered significant damage.
