Fallen Officers Honored At Police Graduation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Over 180 new officers will soon be on the streets of Philadelphia.

The Police Academy Class 355 was honored during their graduation ceremony at Temple University Monday morning.

The 183 graduates dedicated their accomplishments to fallen Officers Gary Skerski, Charles Cassidy, Isabel Nazario and Patrick McDonald.

Students from St. Jerome presented the new officers with hand-made rosaries of protection.

The Philadelphia Police Department currently has over 6,700 officers, making it the nation's fourth-largest police force.
