State Shuts Down Olga's Diner
MARLTON, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Olga's Diner at the Marlton Circle was shut down and seized by the state Thursday morning after failure to pay taxes.
According to the Loretta O'Donnell from Burlington County Board of Freeholders, the state Department of Taxation seized Olga's for failure to pay state taxes.
Customers arriving for breakfast were greeted by two notices of closure. One from the state and the other from the health department, which O'Donnell says is standard operating procedure when involving food.
The health department will have to inspect the restaurant before they can reopen for business.
When exactly that will be, is unclear. It depends if, and when Olga's pays the state.
The diner, located at 100 W. Route 70 in Marlton, is a South Jersey landmark.
