Suspect Arrested In Northeast Robberies

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Police are investigating a possible break in a series of robberies in Northeast Philadelphia.

Authorities said a man in his 20s has been charged in at least four separate robberies in the area.

The suspect was taken into custody in the 4700 block of Ditman Street at about 3 a.m.

The suspect faces robbery, weapons, assault and related charges. Police said their investigation is continuing and he could face additional counts.

Police said the string of robberies began in early January. At least one was captured on surveillance video.

Authorities are still searching for an alleged accomplice in connection with the crimes.
