Missing Del. Co. Alzheimer's Patient Found Safe

ASTON, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A missing elderly man affected by Alzheimer's disease has been found safe after a widespread search.

Warren Fields, 79, was last seen at the Aston Township community center on the 3200 block of Concord Road on Thursday afternoon.

Fields, a former fire police officer, apparently wandered off and became disoriented. When he realized he was lost, authorities said he phoned a friend who came to pick him up.

Following a search with numerous police and fire departments from around the region, along with K-9 and helicopter units, it was learned Fields stayed the night at his friend's home.

He was not injured in the incident.
