Hundreds of volunteers gave back to the community Thanksgiving Day by volunteering at MANNA.
The doors to MANNA's Center City kitchen opened at 4 a.m. Thursday and volunteers from all over the tri-state area prepared dinner for those in need.
The meals, enough for four to enjoy, were delivered to families living with life-threatening illnesses.
According to MANNA:
"A small professional staff and 1,000 dedicated volunteers bring over 65, 000 nutritious, freshly prepared meals each month into the homes of these individuals and families. MANNA nutritionists provide one-on-one, nutritional counseling in dozens of clinics throughout the Delaware Valley. All of MANNA's services are free of charge throughout 10 counties of the tri-state region."
