Boyfriend Returns Home After Cruise Ship Fall
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
The boyfriend of a South Jersey woman who is presumed dead after falling from a cruise ship is now back in the United States.
Jorge Caputo returned home from Bermuda after being questioned by the F.B.I. Caputo's girlfriend, Mindy Jordan, fell from a balcony on the Norwegian Dawn on May 11.
Surveillance cameras outside the ship apparently show Jordan, a mother of two, was alone at the time of her fall. After reviewing the footage, the F.B.I. believes no crime was occurred.
Jordan's family still have doubts as they said she has had an abusive relationship with Caputo in the past. But Caputo's former sister-in-law told CBS 3 he was being portrayed unfairly.
"He's just a good guy and I never once thought he was capable of any type of violent act like this," she said.
Jordan's family members have turned down an offer to travel to Bermuda to view the surveillance footage.
