Montgomery Co. Woman Admits To Nursing Home Theft

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) ― A former nurse's assistant has admitted stealing the personal information of a 75-year-old patient from a suburban Philadelphia nursing home.

Police say 28-year-old Jennifer Antonelli of Conshohocken stole a check from the patient's room and used it to open accounts on the Internet and pay her and her boyfriend's personal bills in 2007.

Antonelli has two children and is eight months pregnant with a third. At the time she was working as a certified nursing assistant at Andorra Woods Healthcare Center in Lafayette Hill.

Assistant District Attorney Bob Sander says Antonelli pleaded guilty on Monday in Montgomery County Court to two felony counts of identity theft. Antonelli has been fired from her job at the nursing home and is free on $5,000 bail. She faces 7-14 years in prison.
