A suspect is in custody following a deadly shooting outside a Camden County community center last month.

James Sampson, 21, was arrested in North Carolina Friday in connection with a fatal shooting at the Wayne Bryant Community Center in Lawnside on April 12.

Prosecutors said Sampson allegedly shot and killed 18-year-old Sergio Rivera following an altercation during a dance at the center.

Sampson is being held in North Carolina pending an extradition hearing.
