Body Found In Fairmount Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Philadelphia Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Fairmount Park early Wednesday morning.

Chopper 3 HD was over Fairmount Park near Ford Road and Chamounix Drive where the gruesome discovery was made at about 6:30 a.m.

Authorities said the victim, a black male in his 30s or 40s, had been shot multiple times.

According to investigators, the victim was wearing a blond wig and women's clothing when he found.

It was not immediately known if the victim was shot in the park or if his body was dumped there.

Further details were unavailable. The incident remains under investigation.
