Job Applicant A Suspect In Dunkin' Donuts Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Philadelphia police are searching for three gunmen who robbed an East Oak Lane Dunkin' Donuts Thursday.

Authorities say the suspects entered the Dunkin' Donuts in the 6600 block of N. Broad Street at about 11 a.m. and demanded money from the employees. They fled with $500 in cash and no one was injured.

Police are searching for three black male suspects, one of whom was reportedly wearing a Dunkin' Donuts shirt. Police also believe one of the men may have filled out a job application at the shop and have a name and address on file that they are hoping will aid in their search for the suspects.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

This shop is the same Dunkin' Donuts where Philadelphia Police Officer Chuck Cassidy was gunned down during a robbery on October 31, 2007. Officer Cassidy died the next day. His killer was later captured in Miami and faces trial.
