Delaware State Police are searching for two suspects caught on tape during a violent robbery at an area motel.
Authorities said a visiting Florida couple in their 50s was robbed and assaulted at the Days Inn Motel on Concord Pike in Wilmington just before 10:30 p.m. on June 23.
The couple was returning to their room after seeing a movie at the Brandywine Towne Center when two suspects approached them from behind.
Surveillance video shows the suspects viciously assault the couple, pushing them to the ground. While on the ground, police said one suspect beat the 53-year-old female victim with a blunt object.
The suspects fled the scene after stealing a wallet from the 54-year-old male. Both victims refused medical treatment.
Police said cameras once again captured the suspects on film as they used the victim's credit card at a Wawa on Carpenter's Station Road.
