Worker Strikes Gas Main In Delaware County

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Construction crews working in Chester, Delaware County struck an eight-inch gas main Friday afternoon.

PECO and fire crews responded to the area of 2nd and Tilghman Streets after 911 dispatchers received numerous calls regarding a strong smell of gas in the area.

Crews are working to cap the main. There were no reports of injuries or evacuations.
