Chester County Forest Fire Burns 40 Acres

OXFORD, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A brush fire that consumed more than 40 acres in Chester County is now under control.

The fire started in Nottingham Forest, which is only about a mile north of the Maryland border.

According to authorities, firefighters from Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland battled the blaze that broke out at about 2 p.m. near Oxford, Chester County.

There were no residential homes in the area and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
