A group of Good Samaritans helped the Coast Guard rescue
six people aboard a boat about three miles off the coast in Cape
May Sunday morning.
The 46-foot boat was taking on water and the people aboard
called the Coast Guard around 8 a.m.
A group of Good Samaritans heard this call over their
radios and headed out to the troubled boat. They then proceeded to take four of
the passengers on the troubled boat ashore.
The Coast Guard of Cape May arrived on the scene shortly
after to pump the water out of the sinking boat and fix the leak.
The Coast Guard towed the damaged boat and the remaining
two crewmen to a South Jersey Marina in Cape May.
