Bridgeport 'Beer Pong' Match Takes Deadly Turn

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. (CBS 3) ― One man is in police custody after a friendly drinking game took a deadly turn in Montgomery County Friday night.

A group of acquaintances were playing 'beer pong' in a Bridgeport home the evening of May 1 when an argument erupted.

Two men, 25-year-old Scott Riley and 24-year-old Joseph Brian Jimenez, became involved in an altercation at the house on the 100 block of West Second Street.

Fellow party goers were apparently able to split up the pair, having Jimenez leave out the front door and Riley exit into a rear alley.

Police said Jimenez once again confronted Riley, allegedly shooting him in the neck with a .40 caliber handgun.

Jimenez fled the scene on foot following the shooting, but was later apprehended. He has been charged with First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder and related offenses.
