Elderly Woman Found Dead In Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Police have arrested a man who allegedly killed his elderly mother in Southwest Philadelphia.

Sources said a man called 911 in the early morning hours Friday, telling police he had just killed his 88-year-old mother.

Officers went to a home on 46th Street and Woodland Avenue where they found the bruised body of an elderly female. She was pronounced dead at about 8:50 p.m.

The unidentified suspect was taken into custody. Further details were not immediately available.
