Delaware Banana Heist Under Investigation

Delaware State Police are searching for a pair of trailers packed with bananas that may have been heisted New Castle County.

Authorities said the trailers were taken from a staging area at 600 Terminal Avenue after arriving at the Port of Wilmington by boat at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. When workers arrived to moved the trailers, they discovered they were missing.

One trailer is said to have "Dole" written on the side and has Tennessee tags 'Y566733.' The second trailer has "Camel Express" written on the side and has Pennsylvania tags 'PT9708J.'

If you spot any trailers matching these descriptions, contact you local police department.

Just over a week ago, two trailers packed with frozen chicken were stolen from the Delaware Food Bank. They were later located in Jersey City.

No arrests have been made. Both incidents remain under investigation.
