One person was injured after a vehicle overturned in South Philadelphia early Monday morning.

A 27-year-old male was able to free himself from the wreckage after a crash on the 700 block of Mercy Street at about 12:45 a.m.

The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Further details were unavailable. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
