Police: Suspects Used MySpace To Plot Murder
TRENTON (CBS 3) ―
Four suspects in Trenton planned and carried out a murder using the popular Web site MySpace.com, police said.
Police said the four suspects planned the killing right down to hour and location while chatting on the social networking Web site.
The four suspects; Karim Sampson, 19; Keith Williams, 19; John Murphy; Brandon Edwards, 20 have been charged in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man at a Trenton park.
The victim and Sampson were accused of robbing two men at gunpoint last June and stealing several hundreds dollars.
Sources said Sampson thought the victim was going to testify against him in the robbery. Sources said that is when Sampson conspired to murder the victim allegedly using MySpace.com.
The father of the victim told CBS 3 that his son was not involved in the robbery last June.
The investigation into the shooting death is ongoing.
