'Bucket List' Movie Inspires Some Risky Thoughts
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
In the movie
Bucket List, Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson decide to live their last days to the fullest and hit the road with a list of things to do before they die.
Some people spoke about their own personal bucket lists.
Who hasn't thought of it? You can find ideas all over the internet from attending the Super Bowl to swimming with dolphins.
Carl Ewald understands. He had his own "Bucket List" moment when he thought he was facing a health crisis. He put his law career on hold and:
"I traveled around the world for two years. I only intended to travel for three months," Terra Marr Adventure Club employee Carl Ewald said.
Today Ewald runs Philadelphia's first adventurers club Terra Marr. He helps people cross off wises on their Bucket lists.
"The classic example is the skydiving. We definitely have people say I've also wanted to do this. I wanted to do this before I die. The scuba diving's big and travel is really big too," Ewald said.
At Tony Lukes that's exactly what was on the list for the ladies serving up lunch.
"Go to Disney World," Kat Antonelli of South Philadelphia said, "because my mother always promised me and I never went.
She still wants her mom to take her though. But what would a celebrated stylist want to do?
"I would love to go to Nepal," I have no idea," Signatures Salon Joseph Lentini said.
Lentini's client said:
"I would like to live in France for a year. That's my secret dream," Christy Spear said, "because I like the cheese.
Ewalt tops off people's bucket list with one poignant statement with regards to living;
"Abraham Lincoln once said most people are about as happy as they decide they want to be. And I think the real point of that is you have to decide I'm going to be happy and go out and do it," Ewald said.
