Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested, 2 Hospitalized
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
Police have apprehended a suspect in connection to the robbery of a Center City bank Wednesday afternoon.
The robbery happened at about 2 p.m. at the PNC branch bank located in the 1600 block of Market Street.
A police cruiser pursuing the suspect collided with another vehicle in the 1500 block of Arch Street. Two women in the other vehicle were injured and rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital. One of the victims was identified as a pregnant woman. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The robbery suspect was caught at the 3400 block of Market Street with the use of a tracking device that was hidden in the bag of money.
This incident remains under investigation.
