N.J. Soldier Receives Joyous Homecoming

MANTUA, N.J. (CBS 3) ― An injured soldier from Gloucester County received a joyous homecoming Tuesday evening.

Staff Sergeant Gregg Seamen, who has not seen his family in two years, was welcomed with hugs and kisses in Mantua Township, New Jersey.

Staff Sergeant Seamen has been serving in Iraq since August of 2007. He was recently awarded the Purple Heart after he was wounded during combat.

Mantua Township officials presented Staff Sergeant Seamen with an award for his service to our country.

Staff Sergeant Seamen is thankful to have an 18-day leave with his family.

After his leave, he will return to Iraq until November.
