2 Children Shot In Strawberry Mansion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Two young children were rushed to the hospital after being shot in Strawberry Mansion on Friday evening.

The shooting happened at about 9:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Edgley Street.

According to police, officers arrived and found a 7-year-old female and a 9-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the arms.

Police said one child was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children while the second was taken to Temple University Hospital. Police said their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.

So far, there are no suspects in custody.
